young (23), Daze Maxim has been working with his labelmate,
Oliver Bondzio for years. After his first release on Jackpot (once
upon a time O. Bondzio's label), Daze and Oliver created the Serial
Killer's Haircut mprint along with the jazzy House sub-label Gentleman's
Haircut. With four releases on SKH it's about time that Daze brought out
an album.

Daze Maxim (23 Jahre) ist schon seit Jahren
Labelmate von Oliver Bondzio. Nach seiner ersten Release auf Jackpot
(das damalige Label von O. Bondzio) gründeten
beide das Label "Serial Killer
Haircut" (mit dem Sublabel "Gentlemans Haircut" für jazzigen
House).
Nachdem die ersten vier SKH Veröffentlichungen auf Daze' Konto
gingen
war es auch Zeit für ein Album.
"Same Place The Bot Got Smashed" ist ein
Konzeptalbum, das sowohl clubtaugliche als auch langsamere Tracks
umfasst. Den Style dieses Konzeptalbums zu umschreiben, ist
selbst mit
Hilfe von gängigen Schubladensystemen schwierig: "advcanced
Techno"
könnte ein grobe Vorgabe sein... --- |

Daze Maxim - Same Place The Bot Got Smashed (SKH/HH/UCMG/Intergroove)
Daze Maxim ist - trotz seiner erst 23 Jahre - auch schon lange dabei,
mithin also eine bewährte Kraft im Techno-Biz. Mit seinem neuen Album
ist er nun wieder unterwegs auf seiner Reise durch seinen kleinen funky
minimal Techno-Kosmos. Allerlei lustige Geräuscheffekte und
Sound-Gimmicks schwirren druch die Tracks. Das kommt im Club natürlich
sehr gut, macht "Same Place The Bot Got Smashed" aber auch für den
Homelistening-Einsatz interessant. Best of both (techno-)worlds!!! (joj) |
